Search Cat Cafe Central
Search articles, tools, categories, glossary terms, and resource pages. Results run fully client-side.
How site search works
Search runs entirely in your browser. The box above matches your words against the titles and summaries of every article, tool, category, glossary term and resource page on the site, and nothing you type is sent anywhere or stored. Because the index is small and local, two or three plain words work better than a full question.
If a search comes back empty
- Use words that would appear in a heading rather than a sentence: litter box, kneading, not eating.
- Try the shorter form first — litter matches more pages than litter box smells bad.
- Look up the single name of a behaviour or a piece of equipment in the glossary.
- If you want a number rather than an explanation, start from the tools index.
Where the common searches lead
| If you are looking for | Start here |
|---|---|
| Everything a first cat needs, in the order it matters | The start-here path |
| Written guides and explainers | The article index, or browse by category |
| A calculator or a checklist | The tools index — age, feeding, litter boxes, monthly cost, symptoms |
| The meaning of one term | The glossary |
| The official source behind a claim | The resource shelf |
Two habits make the index easier to use. First, search for the thing rather than the worry — not eating finds the symptom guide, monthly cost finds the planner, kneading finds the behaviour explainer. Second, when a result looks close but not quite right, open the category above it: each category hub lists its sibling pages, and the guides link to one another in the body text, so one good landing page usually leads to the rest.
Search is a static, client-side index: the same pages you can reach from the site map are the ones it returns.
